Acting Experience

I have acted as an event host and master of ceremonies for variety shows, burlesques, and other events, including the Birds of Paradise burlesque show at Paris on Ponce's le Maison Rouge, Inglorious Berlesque at Smith's Olde Bar, and A Whole Lotta Ankle at the Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse.

I co-founded and directed an improv comedy troupe called Mr. Friskett from 2005-2010 where I helped to develop new scene formats, and designed workshops and shows in ways that brought out, cultivated, and showcased a wide variety of voices and comedy styles for shows that were complex and robust while still entertaining. We performed at Dragon Con, Relapse Theater, Manuel's Tavern, Academy Theater, and the Kudzu Playhouse.

I have performed as an improviser with the Basement Theatre, Cineprov, Let's Try This, Free To a Good Home, IMPROVerished, and Battle Acts.

I recently played the role of Jacob (as well as creating a custom-designed and painted leather mask and graphic design for promotional materials) for the Atlanta Fringe Festival's Audience Choice Award-winning play "Depth Perception" by Alex Carter.

I have worked at the Georgia Renaissance Festival from 2005-2018 as

  • four interactive street characters: a singing jailer, an Ottoman Nazir, the Lord Mayor, and a swashbuckling Landsknecht mercenary

  • a choreographed stage combatant (pole-arm, broadsword, axe, rapier/dagger, and hand-to-hand)

  • a storyteller with an hour-long, scheduled, stage-set

  • a prop builder

  • a costumer

  • a member of Production Staff

  • an improv workshop instructor and curriculum designer

  • a Guild Leader mentoring and facilitating learning and development of interactive performers
